Robert “Bob” Paul Gish, 71, of Walton, KY passed away peacefully Monday, August 30, 2021 at his residence in Walton with his family by his side. Bob was born August 13, 1950 in Covington, KY to the late Stanley Gish, Sr. and Margaret (nee Murray) Gish. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Paul Church in Florence, KY.

After 25 years at Proctor and Gamble, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working part time at both the Kentucky Korner and St. Paul Church as well as rooting for his beloved UK Wildcats. Everyone who knew him was aware of his love for the Cats. He also enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and cards with his kids and grandkids. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Sr. and Margaret Gish and his siblings Christine Mertle, Stanley “Buzz” Gish Jr., and Margie Wurzbacher. Bob is survived by: his loving wife of 48 years, Sandy Gish; his beloved children Missy Gish (Moses Moore III), Matt Gish, Mark (Stephanie) Gish, and Andy (Colleen) Gish; his much-loved grandchildren Moses Moore IV (Autumn Baker) and Mitchell Moore, Gabe, Sydney and Kyler Gish, Branick Hale, Audrey Gish, Jacob Tincher; one great grandchild (on the way); and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. His friends included his special caregivers Jack Frommel and David Wichmann.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY, 41005. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY, 41042. Bob will be entombed at St. Mary Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY immediately following the Mass. Services will be live streamed on the link below.

We are so sad. I have so many happy memories of spending time with all of you while living in KY! You welcomed us and always made me feel like a part of the family ! I will always remember Bob as the ultimate UK fan and still being nice to me even though I was a Duke fan! He always made me smile and I will keep those memories with me.
