Guy Linnemann is a lifelong native of Northern Kentucky. Born at St. Elizabeth Hospital, he graduated from Covington Catholic High School and then received his accounting degree from Northern Kentucky University. He worked at Budget Rent-a-Car of Cincinnati and then attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary College where he graduated with honors.
Guy is a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and his civic involvements have been many, including immediate past president of the International Order of the Golden Rule, past president of the Erlanger Rotary Club, past president of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association, Northern District, past chairman of United Ministries Advisory Board, past board member and trustee of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and he served on the Committee of Management at the Cincinnati YMCA. He is the hands-on leader of Linnemann Funeral Homes, which received the Eagle Emeritus Award from the National Funeral Directors Association’s “Pursuit of Excellence” program in 2009.
Guy is married to Marsha Moeves for 40 years and the couple has four children, including triplets.
Guy retired in 2016 after serving over 40 years in funeral service.

Mrs. Linnemann is a graduate of Dixie Heights High School and Northern Kentucky University. Marsha has been a licensed funeral director since 1990. She lives in Ryland with her husband, Guy, and they have four children, Mavis, Louis, Paige, and Annie; and 6 grandchildren, Eliza, Reid, Sophia, Phoebe, Alanna, and Rylan. Marsha is a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the President of Church Council, a member of the Whole Health Ministry at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Past President of Hinsdale Elementary School PTA, Member of Grief Network of Cincinnati, Co-founder/Co-director of STARS-Grief support for children, Grief facilitator for grief groups, an active member of PAR- People Advocating for Recovery from heroin addiction, an active supporter of Widows/Widowers Bereavement Group, and a member of Greater Cincinnati Aftercare Group. Member of the Northern Kentucky Suicide Prevention Coalition. Former Member End of Life Care Committee for Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Member of National Alliance for Grieving Children. Marsha took a step back from funereal service in 2020, but she remains involved as a Life-story writer.

Mr. Linnemann is a 2005 graduate of St. Xavier High School and a 2009 graduate of Miami University, where he obtained a BS in Accounting. He also graduated in August 2012 with his Masters in Business Administration at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati Goering Center Leadership Development Institute. Louis currently serves as the Northern District Director for the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky Board and is working on his accreditation with the Certified Funeral Service Professional Academy (CFSP). Louis, an avid sports enthusiast, was a co-founder and President of the Miami University Club Football Team and served as an assistant coach with Dick Maile for the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team at St. Pius X from 2013-2015. Louis grew up attending Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with his mother, Marsha, and St. Henry Church, with his father, Guy. He is the triplet brother to Paige Pindela and Annie Linnemann and a younger brother to Mavis Linnemann-Clark. Louis currently resides in Edgewood, KY with his wife, Chelsea; their children, Reid and Phoebe, and their energetic pit bull mix, Izzy. Walking in the footsteps of his late grandfather Bud Linnemann and his love of golf, Louis's family recently joined Summit Hills Country Club in Edgewood, KY, where Bud and Alice were members for over 30 years.

John W. Gay is a 1977 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in the states of Kentucky and Ohio. He has been employed with Linnemann Funeral Homes since 1989. John is married to Christine (Tina) Gay and is the father of Heather Elliott and Jennifer (Jenny) Gay. They reside in Florence, Kentucky and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. John is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Former President of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, Past President of Florence Rotary Club, Past President of the Northern Kentucky Funeral Directors Association, a member of the NFDA, a member of Historic Burlington Business Association, and a member of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science Board of Trustees. John retired January 2019.

Mr. Schier is a 1997 Graduate of Paulding High School (Paulding, OH) and a 2001 Graduate of CCMS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science. He has been employed with Linnemann Funeral Homes since 1999. He lives in Florence, KY with his wife Allison. He is the proud father of Ava Maxine and Sydney Kasper. Member of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Active candidate for A.P.F.S.P.

Mr. Batchelor is originally from West Harrison, Indiana and moved to Northern Kentucky in 2010 to pursue his career with Linnemann Funeral Homes. Josh graduated from East Central High School (St. Leon, IN) in 2007 and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2010. Currently, Josh resides in Florence, KY, where he lives with his wife, Jenny, and their two daughters, DeLaney and Remi. In his free time, Mr. Batchelor enjoys golfing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Mr. Batchelor is a graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky (class of 2016) and has been very involved in the community. He has served on several boards and committees throughout Northern Kentucky.

Mr. Monell is a 1976 graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2002 and has been employed with Linnemann Funeral Homes since 1998. Gene lives in Highland Heights with his wife, Betty, and three children, Bridget, Arnie and Jamie. He is a member of the Erlanger Lions, National Funeral Directors Association and Kentucky Funeral Directors Association. Mr. Monell Retired in September of 2020 after a 25 year career at Linnemann Funeral Homes.

Erin grew up in Winchester, Kentucky where she attended George Rodgers Clark until her junior year of high school. Her family moved to Maysville, Kentucky where she attended and graduated from Mason County High School in 2003. She attended the Academy of Cosmetology and became a licensed cosmetologist and nail technician in a local salon for 12 years before going to Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where she obtained her Associates degree in Science and Bachelors degree in Mortuary Science in 2020. Erin is a member of Central Baptist Church in Winchester, Kentucky and an active volunteer in the Mason County Schools. Erin has a 14 year old daughter, Kennedy and resides in Bracken County, Kentucky with her family and German Shepard, Walker. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughter play ball and boating on Lake Cumberland.

Nonda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College and a Masters from the University of North Texas. She and her husband Tom have been longtime members of St. Paul parish in Florence. They have 3 sons, Dylan, Evan and Collin who all are St. Henry High School graduates. Prior to joining the Linnemann Family, Nonda was the guidance counselor at St. Paul School for ten years. She is an avid Notre Dame fan and loves vacationing in South Carolina every chance she gets.

Mr. Sparks is originally from Madison, IN. He attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he met his wife, Melinda. They both graduated in 2010 and moved to Harrisburg, PA where they worked as Funeral Directors for Bitner Family Funeral Homes. Mr. Sparks also acted as Manager for Bitner Memorials, LLC and sat on the Board of Directors the Shoops Cemetery Association as well as being a member of Linglestown Church of God and the Perseverance Lodge #21F. & A.M. After the Birth of their son Gideon, Mr. Sparks and his wife moved back to Northern Kentucky and now live in Union, KY. They attend church at Florence Baptist Church.

John Combs is a 2011 Graduate of Northmont High School in Englewood, Ohio. In 2014 John graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 2016. John is dually licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer in both Ohio and Kentucky. John served his apprenticeship at Linnemann Funeral Homes and entered into a full time position in 2020. John recently got married to Dixie Heights High School graduate, Leigh (Matchison) Combs and is a member of Crossroads Church in Florence.

Jill (Wainscott) Leininger is a 2006 graduate of Scott High School and a 2012 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary with an Associates of Applied Science and a Bachelor Degree is Mortuary Science. She has been a licensed funeral director since 2014. Jill resides in Independence with her husband, Kyle; children: Marshall, Mason and Kamdyn; and their chocolate lab, Laney. She teaches swim lessons at Silverlake “The Family Place”, is a parishioner at St. Barbara Church, a member of the PTA at RC Hinsdale Elementary School, as well as, a member of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky and the National Funeral Directors Association.

Elizabeth is a 1984 graduate of Lloyd Memorial High and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University. She and her family reside in Erlanger and are members of the Erlanger Christian Church. Elizabeth and her husband Brian, City Administrator of Edgewood, have two sons, Luke and Logan. Both are graduates of St. Henry District High School. Luke is also a graduate of Transylvania University and Logan graduate of Centre College. Another important member of her family is their boxer, Gryffin.

Dottie is a returning member of the Linnemann family. She worked as secretary for the funeral home for 6 years in the 1990s and has returned upon Judy Barnett’s retirement. Mrs. Boone is a graduate of Conner High School and went to Northern Kentucky University. Currently, she lives in Burlington with her husband Tommy and youngest daughter, Alexis. Their oldest daughter, Alicia, is a graduate from the University of Kentucky and their youngest daughter, Alexis, attends the University of Cincinnati. The Boone family attends 7Hills in Florence.

Rachel Jones is a 2010 graduate of Liberty University. She and her husband, Jordan, along with daughter Kelsie and twin sons, Kohen and Kennan, moved to Northern Kentucky in 2010 where they served for the last 10 years at Bellview Baptist Church. Rachel leads the creative aspect of our team through the Unforgettable Memories Department creating memorial tribute videos, photo boards, Lifestory programs as well as providing personal and creative details to our services. Along with those responsibilities she also runs our social media, collaborates on marketing projects and community interactions, plans events, and assists with secretarial duties. She thoroughly enjoys using her creativity in unique ways to bring comfort and joy to the families we serve and our community.

Jason Ballard joined team Linnemann in 2021 as our Crematory Operator. Born and raised in Grant County, Jason is a 2003 graduate of Grant County Highschool. He served as volunteer firefighter and EMT for 10 years before moving to Florence, Kentucky. Jason enjoys the simple things in life like fishing, camping and spending time with his dogs.

Our Support Staff consists of associates that are on-call members of our team. Much like our Non-Licensed Staff, the members of our staff that make up our support team are vitally important toward the operation of our firm. These individuals help to make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.
