Rick Williams

Richard “Rick” Williams, 62, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Betty (Ohnefloss) Williams. He is survived by his three children: Alex (Debi) Williams, 33, of Lexington, KY; Robert Williams, 28, of Seattle, WA; Elizabeth Williams, 23, of Crestview Hills, KY; children of Mary (Byrne) Williams; grandson Luke Williams, 1; sisters Susan (Jim) Kreissl of Villa Hills, Mary Beth (Tony) Graham of Alexandria. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews Laura (Kreissl) Sanregret, Rebecca (Kreissl) Gearing, Keith Graham, Katie (Graham) Glossner, Brett Graham, and several great nieces and nephews. Rick was a graduate of Covington Catholic High School and enjoyed watching CovCath basketball games with his alumni friends. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1974 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and was a lifetime member of the UK Alumni Association. He bled blue. Professionally, he was a Certified Financial Planner for more than 35 years, primarily with UBS Financial Services (formerly Gradison-McDonald). In his spare time he loved to watch his kids play sports and never missed a game or event. He was also an avid golfer at Summit Hills Country Club and enjoyed his weekly rounds with his friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 23, from 4-7pm at St. Pius X Church followed by a service celebrating Rick’s life. After the mass, family and friends are invited downstairs to Milligan Hall for a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Rick’s name to the Covington Catholic High School Boosters Club at 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY.
