Rick Hadley
Richard “Rick” Hadley, 66, of Florence, KY passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
Rick’s family will greatly miss his quiet, gentle, and sometimes stubborn spirit and his sharp sense of humor. Rick was many things to many people, though his favorite titles were loving husband, brother, son, and Papaw. He was an avid reader, gardener, and animal lover. He was a lifetime learner of history and cared deeply about the environment. He enjoyed sharing pictures of the beautiful places he visited throughout his life with his loved ones. When he wasn’t in his garden or reading a book, you could find him rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats, and Cincinnati Bengals.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Hadley and sister, Lesa Monk.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Hadley; stepson, Michael (Robin) Tucker; grandchildren: Savannah Tucker, Samuel Tucker and Leo Tucker; mother, Deetta Hadley; siblings: Judie (Wayne) Cayce, Karyn Buchanan and Rebecca (Tony) Hadley; mother-in-law, Nell Barnes; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on February 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM until the time of memorial service, 6:00 PM at Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mt. Zion Road, Florence, KY 41042.

My beloved brother
Rick was so many things to so many people. To us, Rick was the only brother among four sisters. Growing up Rick somehow managed to train us and our mom to do pretty much what he wanted. We definitely spoiled him. He was always fiercely protective of his sisters- warning people that they better not even try to date us. When we did something he didn’t approve of, I will never forget him pointing his finger and saying” I told you no.” Anyone that knows Rick knows exactly how he did it. Rick left Georgia in the 80’s and his home became Kentucky. He found the greatest wife in the world- Donna. We are so grateful for her being by Rick’s side all these years. He was blessed with a granddaughter- Savannah that truly was the one perfect person in the world to him. So many of us loved him deeply. Our hearts are broken, but I know one day we will be reunited.You gained your wings Rick. Fly high with the angels. Karyn
