Obituary
Condolences

Mike Lewis of Florence, died on the 18th of June at his home surrounded by his Wife, Libby; Son, Paul West; Daughter in Law, Lisa (McKinley) West and Grandson Jarrod West. He is remembered with reverence and love. Mike served in the United States Army with the 101 Airborne Division. After leaving the military, Mike became a printer, working for several area printers and owning his own business with his brother, Hubert. He ended his working career at the Betts USA as a printing supervisor. He was a hard worker and best known to always have a project to do. His partner, teammate and wife, Libby was right by his side. The two met for the first time nearly 40 years ago when Mike actually hired Libby. After the tragic passing of his first wife Velma, Mike and Libby reconnected. Their romance is a true love story. They started as friends, then companions and eventually husband and wife.  Because of Mike’s laid-back nature and personal philosophy on arguing, they never had a fight in 16 years of marriage. Mike and Libby were traveling in their RV when Mike’s health brought them back home. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, a good father and a hard worker. He is loved and will be missed by numerous family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
