Michael T. Dunn

Michael T. Dunn “Mike”, 77, of Union, KY passed away peacefully, with his family and friends by his side on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Mike retired after 41 years in the Information Technology industry specializing in Network Communications and Interactive Video Conferencing for NCR, Intermedia Communications and AT&T.  Mike loved to scuba dive and served on the Boone County Water Rescue for more than 15 years.  He was also a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan, had a love for sports, and passed on his knowledge to his sons by coaching their peewee football and baseball teams.  Mike and his wife of 55 years, Barb, enjoyed riding their motorcycle and traveling around the world, especially Germany, Italy, Palau, the Solomon Islands, Fiji, and Bonaire.

Being an avid scuba diver and motorcycle enthusiast, Mike’s family encouraged him to paint some of the beautiful sites he encountered in his travels, leading to his new passion which led him to be known to his family as “El Grande Artisto”.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Judge William and LaVerne Dunn and brother, Billy Dunn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barb Dunn; children: Rob Hans (Lisa), Michael Dunn (Amy), Kristy Flesch (Mike) and Kevin Dunn (Heather); grandchildren: Mark and Ryan Hans, Julia and Alaina Flesch, Xavier and Katherine Dunn; brother, Patrick Dunn (Michelle); nephew and niece, Brady and Adeline Dunn; as well as many lifelong friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM until the Mass of Christian Burial, 5:00 PM, at St. Timothy Church, 10272 US-42, Union, KY 41091.
