Lorna Fae Kathman

Lorna Fae Kathman, 91, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Colonial Gardens in Florence, KY. She was born December 2, 1930 in Erlanger, KY to the late Victor and Emma Donaworth. Lorna was a devout Catholic and attended St. Pius X Church in Edgewood, KY. She sang in the choir for many years. She loved to sing and dance. Lorna was a loving person with a big heart, and she was always willing to help others. She spent countless hours volunteering for her kid’s schools and helping the less fortunate in the local area. Lorna was also an artist and she enjoyed painting, designing beautiful floral arrangements, sewing and baking. Throughout her 91 years she had accomplished many things, but the most important to her was her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Donald Kathman, and her siblings: Mildred, Margie, Betty, Dorothy, Ruthie, Victor, Jimmy and Paul. Lorna is survived by her loving children: Michael (Susan) Kathman, Donald Kathman II, David (Kim) Kathman, Michelle (Tom) Lauterbach, and Kevin (Julie) Kathman, her dear sister, Peggy Fugazzi, 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held for Lorna on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM. Lorna will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Mary Cemetery immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Foundation and Hospice Fund at 1 Medical Village Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 or to Colonial Gardens (Activities Department) at 6910 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, KY 41042 in memory of Lorna.
