John Manderschied

John Manderschied, 40, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, September 21st. Mr. Manderschied was self-employed, a wrestling coach at Conner High School, an exemplary marine who served with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines in Operation Desert Storm. He received many awards and medals, was an avid boxer, a 1989 graduate of Taylor High School. He attended Hebron Lutheran Church where he played on the Hebron Lutheran softball team. He was a person others could always count on for a helping hand, and active in his community.
He was preceded in death by his father Chester Dooley. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Manderschied of Burlington, and his surviving children are: Olivia Manderschied of Burlington, Trevin Manderschied of Cedar Grove, Indiana, Sarah Carella and Adam Carella both of Burlington, Blake Ange of Virginia Beach, VA, Tiffany Ange of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by his father, Jim Manderschied Sr. (Pam) of Cincinnati, OH, his mother, Joyce Dooley of Cincinnati, OH, his siblings: Jim Manderschied Jr. (Erin) of Cincinnati, OH, Kenneth Dooley of Cincinnati, OH, Mark Dooley of Cincinnati, OH, Denise Dooley-Bedel (Brandon) of Burlington, Kimberly Ann Leppert of West Chester, OH, Karen Burgin of Tennessee. He is also survived by his grandparents, Lauretta and Lou Gantzer of Cincinnati, OH.
Services are being handled by Linnemann Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 8:00 AM-12:30 PM at Hebron Lutheran Church. A service will follow at 12:30 at the church. Burial will follow at the Dayton National Military Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
