Jean H. House, 93, of Park Hills, KY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY surrounded by her loving family. Jean was a Secretary for the Diocese of Covington for 33yrs. upon retiring. She volunteered with the Redwood School and Rehabilitation Center, Be Concerned, Campbell Lodge Boys Home and made Baptismal Stoles for several parishes in the Diocese of Covington. Her faith and helping others was important to her. Jean’s greatest joy and priority in life was her family and friends. Jean “DeDe” loved life and entertaining everyone with her wonderful stories, especially when she was talking about her family.  Making others happy was one of her favorite things, along with crocheting, baking, traveling and spending time with her family.   Jean was born to the late Benjamin Sabastian and Anna Mary (nee: Berberich) Meier and was one of ten children. She was preceded in death by her, daughters, Pamela (nee: House) Bezold and Pauline (nee: House) Schwartz. She is survived by her loving children, Jim (Madeline) House, Lynn (Larry) Beck, Joe (Moira) House and Kim (Mark) Franxman. She also leaves behind her sister, Genevieve “Genny” Broschardt, 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10am to 11:30am at St. Augustine Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30am. Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate3.cancer.org/) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/).
