Jack Schmitz III

INDEPENDENCE – Joseph “Jack” J. Schmitz III, 20, died Thursday, Sept. 17, in Lubec, Maine.He was a student.

Survivors include his mother, Maleah Hanser-Wright of Independence; brothers, Lucas Wright of Independence and Steven Schmitz of Florence; grandparents, Bonnie and Herb Phillips of Lubec, Maine, and Ray and Grace Hanser of Erlanger.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 26, with service following at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Erlanger. The body will be cremated.
