Hogan Koehl, 22, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with his family by his side at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center.  Our sweet angel always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.

Hogan was born to Gene and Julie Koehl on June 15, 2000.  In 2020 he received his Certificate of Completion from Cooper High School.  Hogan was a member of the Special Olympics where he participated in many sports, but his favorites were fishing and bowling.  He enjoyed riding in the John Deere gators, John Deere tractor and John Deere Red Combine.  Hogan loved the beach, boating, tractor pulls and was Santa Clauses “biggest fan.”

He was preceded in death by his great uncle, John Kirby; great grandparents: Elliott Kirby, Mildred and Vernon Anderson, Murray and Mary Oberschlake, William J. and Birtha Koehl.

Hogan is survived by his parents, Gene and Julie; siblings, Harper and Lyla Koehl; his furry friend, Murdoch; grandparents: Charles and Theresa Anderson and Gene and Leslie Koehl; aunts and uncles; Jason and Lauren Anderson, their children, Kemper and Kirby, Anissa and Mike Morris, their children, Madeleine and Abby, Matt and Meg Koehl, their children, Charley and Murray; as well as many close friends.

Sweet young man

I was so sorry to hear about your loss. He was such a sweet young man. I had so much with him when I was on vacation visiting mom. The day we went bowling was so much fun. I’ll always remember his sweet smile and the little laugh he had that day.
