Helen Humphreys

Helen Patricia “Pat” Humphreys was born in Louisville, Kentucky, April 1933. She died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at age 87.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dr. H. S. “Bud” Humphreys, Jr., DMD, who died in May 2016.

Pat is survived by her son Horace S. “Chris” Humphreys, III, daughter Cindy (David) Weidinger, daughter Vicki Humphreys. Grandchildren are Eric (Nhuy) Weidinger, Ellen (Jim) Madden, Jessica Baker. Great grandchildren, Jackson and Taylor Weidinger, Ellis and James Madden, Ozarrien and Zane Brown.

Pat was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. Her beautiful smile and big heart were just two of her many attributes. She was a talented dancer as a young woman. She was a skilled golfer, tennis player, bowler and gardener. Pat loved babies and children and hugged everyone she met. Pat loved her family with all of her heart.

Pat was a longtime resident of Lakeside Park, Kentucky. She suffered with dementia, lived with and was cared for by Chris over a period of a year and half, where she passed on peacefully in his home, in Florence, Kentucky. Vicki played an important role in her care.

The family will have a celebration of her life in the Spring.
