Grace Penn (nee: Kerr), 65, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her residence.

Grace was a CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Officer for Northside Bank where she had worked since September 28, 2020.

She was very active in her community and had a passion for helping anywhere she could.  From being on the board for Central Clinic, Be Concerned, and many more, to doing even the simplest of tasks for a neighbor or loved one.

In her younger years, she loved to travel.  Grace was extremely involved with her grandchildren, making sure she went to every cheer competition and sporting event.  She embraced being “Gigi” to the fullest.

Grace is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Kerr.

She is survived by her loving son, Seneca (Cassandra) Penn; grandchildren: Kamari, Charles, Devon and Hendrix; brother, Cliff Kerr; as well as many close friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service, 2:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005.  Burial will immediately follow at Burlington Cemetery.

HONK VOLUNTEER

I am Sister Janet from Our Savior Church in Covington and have been on a “HONK Committee” with Grace for a number of years and was shocked by her sudden death. She was very active on the committee and will be missed greatly! I wish to offer my prayers and sympathy to the family but will not be able to attend the service. May our loving God be with you as you deal with your pain and grief and my you find peace in his loving arms.
God be with and bless you.
Sister Janet , Our Savior Church

Always a Kind Person

I met Grace when we were in high school and I graduated with her brother, Cliff. Grace was a very kind, caring person who always had a smile for those she interacted with. After going our separate ways for many years, it was exciting to reconnect with Grace and see that warm, beautiful smile again in 2023. It brought me such sadness to hear she had gained her wings, but I know you’re sharing that beautiful smile with everyone in Heaven! Praying for strength and comfort for Cliff, and Grace’s family. She Lit Up the Room With Her Smile

While I didn’t know Grace real well or for a long time, my memories of her will be her huge smile and the way she truly cared for others. She will be missed by many in so many ways.

A dear friend!

Grace was a wonderful person, a wonderful co-worker and just a dear friend. Everyone is heartbroken with her sudden passing. She loved her son, Cassie and grandchildren! She would move mountains to be with her family and help her family. She would also move mountains to be with her friends and help her friends. Hugs and love to you Grace, a true friend! My prayers to Seneca and family! Tricia

TAKEN TO SOON

Grace was always someone who could lift your spirits. She always had a smile and a hug for you. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She will truly be missed in this world.

Wonderful Person!

Grace was a wonderful person and a dear friend. I served on the Central Clinic board with her and she became a dear friend of all of us. Grace’s wisdom, many contributions, and presence will be greatly missed! She loved her family and her community! She was a woman of great character and will always be remembered for her smile and love.

Grace will be missed!

Grace was full of grace. I worked with her for many years as a consultant for her bank, and every time we met I got to know more about her, and could always tell how much she appreciated my help. She was never without a smile.
