Evelyn Cummings

Evelyn B. Cummings, 83, Erlanger, passed away February 22nd 2012 at Locust Grove Retirement Village in Mifflin PA. She was the wife of the late James H. Cummings, who preceded her on February 11th 2005. Evelyn was born on February 12 1929 in Grassy Cove Tennessee, a daughter of the late Austin and Lavada (Knox) Bristow. She was a 1947 graduate of Cumberland County (TN) High School. Evelyn worked along with her husband in the operation of Cummings Electric Company. She was a former member Erlanger United Methodist Church and a current member of Grace Episcopal Church in Florence. Evelyn served as a volunteer at St Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. She was also a member of Rosebud Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Covington. Evelyn is survived by her three children Robert Cummings of Erlanger, Susan Todenhoft and her husband Walter of Burke VA, and Nancy Buonocore and her husband Rev. Salvatore of Millerstown PA. a daughter-in-law Debbie S Cummings of Erlanger, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sister Ruby Clark of Orlando FL, brother Mose Bristow of Grassy Cove TN. She was preceded in death by four sisters Helen Nemeth, Gladys Hedgecoth , Wilma Watkins, and Polly Buck and a brother John Bristow. Visitation will be held Sunday February 26th 2012 from 5 to 8pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes in Erlanger. Funeral Service will be held Monday February 27th 2012 at 10am at Grace Episcopal Church in Florence, Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Ft Mitchell.
