Doris Vanlandingham

Doris Faye Vanlandingham, 87, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born August 12, 1934 in Pendleton County, KY to the late Clarence and Sadie Price. Doris worked and retired after twenty plus years of service from the I.R.S. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was famous for her “Thanksgiving stuffing” and her fried chicken. She also enjoyed traveling and loved going to the beach. Doris was very laid back, and she enjoyed taking care of her house. She enjoyed caring for her family, and keeping her house spotless, up until her health no longer allowed it. She was preceded in death by her husband: Stanley Vanlandingham, her son: David Vanlandingham, her daughter: Candy Wright, her brothers: Clarence, Charles and Kenneth Price, and her sisters: Francis Flynn, Gladys Flynn, Ruby Guaditis, Lucille Deters, Bernice Coshnitzke and Betty Dahms. Doris is survived by her loving daughters: Pamela (Robert) Chell and Paula (John) DeBoard, her beloved grandchildren: Chad Zimmerman, Kelly Weckbach and Ryan Chell, her cherished great-grandchildren: Kelsey Durham, Jordan Layman and Joey Crimmins, her great great-grandchildren: Jake, Matthew, and Emma Durham and her dear cat: Molly. A visitation will be held for Doris on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Doris will be laid to rest next to her late husband at Burlington Cemetery immediately following the service at the Funeral Home.
