Deborah Jones, 65, passed away peacefully Sunday January 7, 2024 at Bridgepoint Nursing Home in Florence, KY.  Mom is free now.  Free to adventure again.  She’d hop in a vehicle and go across the country on a whim.  She was fearless, not afraid to take risks and often didn’t think about the consequences.  She had a free spirit; she loved all things of nature.  She had a kind heart and was always helping others in her own way.  She loved many people and didn’t ever really meet a stranger.  She loved horses.  And she loved her dog Gunney.  She loved the beach, the sound of the waves, and the warmth from the sunshine there.  She loved to smoke a Marlboro and drink a Diet Coke.  She loved to wear Levi’s and suntan in the summertime.  She could make really good fudge, chili, and applenut cake.  She was a spiritual person, and believed in the higher power of God.  She was so happy to be Grandma of my 2 precious boys.  She would always say, “Tell them Grandma Deb loves them.”  She loved her family very much.  She always made sure they knew she loved them.  She was strong and fought many battles in her lifetime.   And she was always ready for fun and adventure.  And the more the merrier with Mom!

So now…Mom, you’re on your eternal adventure.  Running fast like a Kentucky thoroughbred, care-free and wild.  Beach sunrises and sunsets with crashing waves.  Strong and free of any worldly chains.  Run wild and free Mom, in the land of Glory.

Until we meet again Mom, I love you way past God’s house. *Psalm 23*
