Great friend & co-worker

My late husband Richard & Ed were good friends & co-workers when they worked for Liggett & Myers & Japan Tobacco- Ed was always very helpful & caring. We enjoyed the conventions & dinners out. I’m SO very sad about his passing. Richard & Ed will meet again in heaven. May the Lord impart His strength to his lovely wife Pat & their family. God Bless all.

Wonderful mab

I am writing on behalf of my Mother, Anita Haines. She worked for Mr. Taphorn at Ligget for about 11 years or so. He was so nice to my mother and she loved working for him. They had a real good friendship. He would always call and check up on my mother. Unfortunately She passed away on November 3rd, 2021. I was shocked to learn of Mr. Taphorn’s passing. My thoughts and prayers to the family. I know he will be dearly missed.
Thanks

Good Memories from Liggett days

I worked with Ed for 16 years at Liggett and he always had a drive for success. His work ethic taught me many life lessons that I still use today. Pat, I know you and your family dearly miss him but know that he is resting peacefully. Prayers for you and your family. God bless.

Wonderful Sense of Humor

Ed was such a sweet, nice man! When I worked at the Customer Service counter at Home Depot in Crescent Springs, Ed would come in and always have a joke for me or we would banter. I graduated with Ed and, although we didn’t have much interaction in school, we shared remembrances when he would stop in. He will be sorely missed by all!! Rest in peace Ed and tell your jokes in Heaven!

Saying goodbye is so very hard

Over the years, Ed has been my trusted friend, neighbor, hunting partner, card playing buddy and close confidant. We shared many good times together and shared many get togethers and phone calls. He will be dearly missed and often thought about in the future. Rest In peace my friend until we meet again!
