Dear Sally and John

Nancy and I were so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, Alice. She was an amazing woman! Her energy seemed limitless and her ability to help out so many with all the non-profit work she did and her work in politics was something to behold as well as her business acuity. I am hoping that our local PBS affiliate continues to run her promotional efforts for funding Public Television, here in central Florida. I was so surprised one day with my back to the TV and heard Alice Sparks speaking through the TV for making a legacy donation to PBS. I about fell over when I turned around to face the TV and I saw Alice with your two daughters, Sally. You have two beautiful daughters! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Best regards,
Mike and Nancy Shayeson

Friends

It was my honor to call her “Friend” because she was someone you could think OUTLOUD in front of without fear of repercussions and no that she would give you honest advice. She certainly was a Pioneer for all of Northern Kentucky and will be missed all of us. Jesus is smiling and love surrounds her now and forever on her home in Heaven. Our prayers on this special day of prayers in Washington D.C. will have another angel watching over them as we pray for all in our Country and World for all of us red, yellow, brown, black and white born and unborn children and Seniors for they are all precious in Jesus SIGHT. Thank You Our Friend Alice Sparks.

All the beautiful things…

Alice was such a wonderful gift to all who knew her. Her kind compassionate heart and beautiful love of people will forever be foremost in my mind when I think of her. Alice’s generous and philanthropic spirit can’t go unnoticed but what I loved the most about Alice is that she shared her time with those in need. She always made time. She was a very special lady who will be missed beyond measure. I imagine her riding a race horse through the pearly gates of heaven. I rang a little bell in her honor. I know Heaven has a wonderful new angel. My Condolences to her friends and family. ~ Kimberly Heestand

What a loss

I was listening to Gov. Beshear on my car radio the other day and heard him say that Alice died of COVID. What a loss! She was such a great Lady, so full of life, and so generous with her time in supporting NKU. I don’t recall her missing a single NKU event that I attended. And she always so friendly, reaching out to everyone making all feel welcome. Praying for her friends and family. Elizabeth Thompson, former NKU Regent.

A proud legacy

Alice was a kind and generous mentor and supporter of so many people and causes. She encouraged and assisted me in my philanthropic efforts, particularly those focused in higher education. I learned so much from her, and I have carried those lessons throughout my career. I will be forever appreciative.
Her wit, humor, charm and passion will be missed by us all. I don’t know how they’ll conduct a political campaign in KY without her. She was just the best.
I wish peace and comfort for her beloved family.

Family of Alice Sparks

I am terribly sorry for your loss. My sister and I considered Ms. Alice our “Fairy Godmother” and have been blessed to have her in our lives over the last 25+ years. We have fond memories of vacations in Destin, pool weekends at her house, UK games, etc. She was a kind and generous lady who befriended our family and looked after us for many years as we grew up. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and her loved ones during this difficult time.

Regards,

William Downey

Dear Sally, Dale, Bella and Dana,

Alice was a beautiful, gracious and energetic lady. It was a gift to know her. Alice made each person she spoke to feel special in her sincere and friendly manner.
She will be greatly missed and, most of all, missed by you. She loved you so much!
Now Alice is with her sweet boy, Alex. Two joyful souls.
May God bless you and her special friend Frank, and bring you all peace.
Love, Maureen Hannon

Dear Sally and John

I am so deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Alice. I have such fond memories of growing up with you both and her always there in that house full of kids! She is a saint for putting up with us all, but such a good sport and so loving and caring to us all. She took everyone in as her own.
Even though time has taken us all to different places, time stood still when I received the news of her death. My heart broke and all the memories rushed in. Please know I am thinking of you and yours during this difficult time. Sally you John will always be family. I rest easy knowing she is with Joe, Judy, Nancy and your son. Boy what a reunion that must of been! May God wrap his arms around you my friends!
All my love,
Jody Baudendistel-Morrison
