Virginia R. McCrocklin

Virginia R. McCrocklin, age 86, of Erlanger, KY, died Friday March 24, 2017 at 10:30 PM EDST at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, KY.  Born January 14, 1931 in Hutsonville, IL, she was the daughter of Milton and Lilly Mae (Carpenter) Osborn.  On May 16, 1954 she married Donald L. McCrocklin and he preceded her in death September 19, 1991.  Virginia was a loving mother and wife, a farmer and a lifelong lover of animals and country gospel music.  If you needed to know anything about taking care of animals or when to plant something, Virginia was your go-to person.  In her later years, with her eyesight failing, she discovered books on CD and enjoyed over a thousand – mostly westerns and mysteries.  Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law David and Sandra McCrocklin of Erlanger, KY and Richard and Jane McCrocklin of Arcadia, IN; grandchildren Daniel McCrocklin, Thomas McCrocklin, Maryn (Michael) Morris and Joseph Riley McCrocklin; great-grandchild Wyatt Morris; half -brother Milton (Peck) Osborn, LaPort, IN; and several nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Milton and Lilly Mae Osborn; husband, Donald McCrocklin; three brothers, Robert, Roy and Ralph Osborn and half-brother Leonard Osborn.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday April 29^th in the Chapel at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 2551 Dixie Hwy, Lakeside Park, KY.  The family appreciates your kind thoughts and support but requests that you not send flowers
