Virginia Lee “Ginny” Arnett
Virginia Lee “Ginny” Arnett, age 76, passed away Friday April 6, 2018 with family at her side. Ginny will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband Forrest “Woody”; her 2 sons Mark (Kim) and Brad (Mercedes) Arnett; a daughter Stephanie (Patrick) Rose; and a brother Steve (Sophie) Lightner. Ginny was “Nan” to 6 grandchildren – Rachel, Zack (Morgan), Alex, Katie and Jacob Arnett and Ryan Rose – and 1 great grandchild (Miloh Arnett). A niece (Tera Lightner) and 2 nephews (Rick and Nick Lightner) also survive her. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Boone County Extension Office and a resident of Burlington, KY. She was proud to have been commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel and known to be a tenacious team owner in her family’s fantasy football league. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Ginny’s Life on Friday April 13th 10am -12 noon at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Entombment of her urn will be done privately. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Ginny was my cousin-in-law. Forrest”Woody” is my cousin on my dad’s side of the family. My maiden name was Linda McGowan. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a sweet person. So many of us have gone ahead of us to glory. What a glad day that reunion will be. I have heard that Kim Arnett has been looking for Judy and I. I hope this gives you a way to get in touch.
