Russell L. Wilmhoff
Russell Louis Wilmhoff, 93, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home in Florence. Russ was a partner at Florence Hardware from 1948 until 1979. He was a member of Hopeful Lutheran Church in Florence for 61 years and a Navy World War II Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. Preceded in death by his brothers Bert and Donald Wilmhoff, and sister Patricia Simms. Survivors include his beloved wife of 70 years Shirley Wilmhoff, and his sons Roy C. Wilmhoff, Stephen R. (Donna) Wilmhoff, Gary (Neda) Wilmhoff, and Ralph L. (Krista) Wilmhoff. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Rd. Burlington, on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm with funeral services to begin at 6pm. Burial will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery following the services. Memorials can be made to either Hopeful Lutheran Church, 6430 Hopeful Church Rd.
