Maureen (nee Glenn) Merten, devoted wife and mother, died at her dear home of 48 years surrounded by her beloved family and friends.  Born on January 23, 1932, she had just celebrated her 85th birthday.  She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Edward Merten, her children, Mary Anne (John) Walcutt, Catherine Marie Clabough, Elizabeth Mary (David) Wilmhoff, Joseph Gerard Merten, Molly Anne (Michael) Lippert; grandchildren Madeline Anne and Grace Marie Clabough, Anna Maureen and Nevan David Wilmhoff; siblings James A. Glenn, Jenna Lee Seibert, Terrance C. Glenn, Sheila G. Linton; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents James P. and Catherine Glenn.  Maureen was a graduate of St. Henry High School and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish for nearly 50 years.  Before starting her family, Maureen worked as a market analyst for Burgoyne Marketing and later in life worked in student recruiting for Villa Madonna Academy.  Maureen loved her faith, family, and friends above all else and was dearly loved in return.  Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School, 2407 Dixie Hwy., Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017 or Hospice of the Bluegrass Northern Kentucky, 7388 Turfway Rd., Suite 202 Florence, KY 41042.  No “in lieu of flowers”–she loved them! A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, from 5pm until 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell, KY.  Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery Ft. Mitchell.  Online condolences may be made at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com
