John “Larry” Gripshover

Larry Gripshover, 66, of Petersburg, KY passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY surround by his loving family. Larry was a hardworking man who loved his family. He was a retired backhoe operator with Arlinghaus Builders. He enjoyed shooting clay pigeons and was a member of the Crittenden AAA, Dutchman’s and the Straight Shooters Gun Clubs. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jody Gripshover (nee: Ligon) and their children, Larry Gripshover, Gerry Gripshover-Remines, Michael “Sandy” Gripshover, Andy “Amanda” Gripshover and JoAnn Gripshover. He also leaves behind 10 brothers, 3 sisters, and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth (nee: Bushelman) Gripshover and sister Rita. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Burlington, KY with burial to follow at Petersburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
