Dennis Laverne Heyne 62, of Florence, KY, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 11, 2017. Dennis was the owner & operator of Millennium Painting & Decorating. He was also an avid woodworker and remodeler. He was a member at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs KY and St. Joseph Church in Bluffton, IN. He was an active member of Pee Wee’s Men’s Prayer Group where he enjoyed good fellowship and grew with his faith.

Dennis was born in Bluffton, IN to Oscar Laverne Heyne and Evelyn Homan Heyne Hale. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Debbie Laughlin Heyne and their children, Timmy Brinkhaus, Tara Plasters, and Anita Heyne Torres. He also leaves behind his brothers, Doug Heyne, Darel Heyne, Dave Heyne, Duane Heyne, sister Kathy Curtin, grandchildren Camryn, Tanner, Myla, Benjamin and Charly and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Kipp.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 10am to 12pm at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs, KY with Mass to follow at 12pm. Burial of ashes will be at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Washington University Siteman Center in St. Louis, MO (where he was a clinical trial patient) or the American Cancer Society.

My bestest friend and lover- you amazed me from the day we met and the strength and courage you taught and showed will forever live on in me. Its been a few years but everyday I pray and thank God for the time we had together -just wish it could have been more- that is probably my selfishness coming out – love you budde and I am giving it my best shot- I am grabbing the bull by the horn and gonna keep carrying on!

DENNIS, you will be greatly missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to all your family and friends. Thank you for being friends through all the good times and tough times in our life’s. I’m so happy you, Anita, Robert, and Myla shared great memories and got to enjoy fun times with laughter and family time together the last few years. Memories we will all Cherish. I fortunately had the pleasure to know Dennis for quite a few years and I will miss him. from the day I met him he gave my best friends family nothing but love and affection. he has helped me through hard times in my life and was what I consider a good role model. again,he will be missed. we lost a good man……Craig Baynum
