Zulla M. Clore, age 85, died August 8, 2018 at Madonna Manor. She was a retired clerical assistant with the Boone County School System. She was a long time resident of Boone County and a member of Burlington Baptist Church. Survivors include her two sons, Kerry L. Courtney of Kingston, TN and Timothy W. Courtney of Florence, KY; two step sons, R. Alan Clore of Cincinnati, OH and Brian R. Clore of St. Louis, MO; two sisters Zella Schwerin of Glennie, MI and Lois Leadingham of Elsmere, KY. Zulla was the grandmother of 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Clore, her first husband, Vernon L. Courtney, and eldest grandson, Jeffrey A.Courtney. Zulla’s uplifting personality and positive attitude inspired many. She enjoyed entertaining and serving others, especially hosting events for her family and friends. She was an avid antique and quilt collector, and she loved to travel. She was a beautiful person inside and out.

 

Visitation will be at Burlington Baptist Church on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service with burial immediately after at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Burlington Baptist Church, 3031 Washington St., Burlington, KY. 41005

Kerry And Debbie, we are so sorry to hear about Zulla. She was such a sweet lady. She and Bob certainly made our move many years ago to Florence much easier! Our thoughts and our prayers are with you and your family!
