Willard King McClintock Sr. (Willy), 69, of Union KY went to be with His Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. His parents Willard L. and Ruth N., and sister Ruth McClintock of Caledonia Ohio have gone on before him.

Willy was a Veteran of The United States Marine Corps Infantry Division and served during the Vietnam War. Professionally, Willy was a passionate Steel Maker, Consultant, and Inventor. Personally, he was a man who loved to fish and hunt. Willy spent his entire life serving and providing for his family and others.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 48 yrs. Shirley McClintock (Cooki) of Union KY, His son Will (Hailey) McClintock Jr of Union KY.  Daughter Kristen McClintock of Florence KY, Daughter Lyndi Tatter of Florence KY and his Sister Gretchen (Dwight) Hill of Sarasota, FL. Willy’s legacy will live on through his Grandchildren Halle, Alyssa, Audrianna, and Willard King McClintock III  (Trey).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Linneman Family Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.

Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home the following day, Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.

Heartfelt Sympathy

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one, Willard. May you find comfort in the words written at Acts 24:15, where God promises to bring back to life those we have lost in death by means of a resurrection. In the near future He will also eliminate our enemy, death. (Isaiah 25:8) This gives us the wonderful hope of being reunited with our precious loved ones, forever. Until then I hope the memories of Willard and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.

Blessed to have worked with him.

Will was a pleasure to work with and He will be missed. Praying for peace and comfort for family and friends. Charles and Judy Kemper, Roamin’ Roads Transport

Willy will be missed

I am very sorry to hear that Willy passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we will miss him very much. I hope that you will take some comfort in knowing that you are loved and we are here for you.

Love,

Melissa Reid and family

To live is Christ, to die is gain.

Cooki & family, we were heartbroken when learned of Willy’s homegoing. We worked with Willy at Georgetown Steel and thought very highly of him. May your precious memories and thoughts of friends be a comfort to each of you during this difficult time. Sending prayers, James & Sandra Barnhill

Worked with Willy

When we would run trials at the steel mill, he and I would walk around and pray, and talk about all the Lord was doing. He will be missed.

Respect

Willy was someone who taught me so much and I looked up to all the years I knew him. A man who was a living legend in the steel industry. Gallatin steel would not have survived without Willy and Don Dailey. The impact he had on so many people will go forward for many years to come. I’m going to miss you Cowboy.
