To the family of Wendell Hull

As a former member of the Marching Band in the 70’s I remember the dedication Mr. Hull would always show towards making us the best marching band we could be. As a member of the flag squad my interactions with Mr. Hull were less than that of the musicians. Even so he always treated me with patience and kindness and was a positive influence in my life during that time. Thank you to his family for supporting all the hours he wasn’t home with you while he worked tirelessly with all of the students he influenced.

My thoughts and prayers for Mr. Hull’s family and friends,

Cindy White Cress – Class of 1976

Old Friend

Back in high school at Clark County, Wendell and I both played trumpet in the band. Also, Wendell and I both attended the First Church of God, which was then located on Hickman Street, and played our trumpets alongside the youth director – whose name I cannot remember – who played the trombone. I remember we traveled around central KY and played at church functions. Wendell and I lost touch after that but reunited a few years back at a class reunion. He was a special guy and a special friend to me. My deepest condolences to Lucille and his family.

To Wendell’s Family

Wendell was an outstanding band director at Conner. He started at Conner with me in 1970. We shared outstanding students for 30 years. Most of my Adv Biology students were also in Band. Wendell probably set a record for a Band Director staying at one school for that many years. He was a class act and I am proud to have been a fellow teacher with him all those years.
Sincerely
John Martin
