Walt Coleman, 83, of Burlington, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was born December 17, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Walter Sr. and Mary Coleman. Walt was a devout Catholic and an active member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church. He served on the church’s financial council and volunteered throughout the years at the festival and many of the fish fries.

Walt worked in customer service and finance organizations for several companies, most notably for Whirlpool and GE, before he retired from GE. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Ludlow VFW and he was an avid golfer.

Walt was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Rose, and his dear sister, Nellie Ruland. Walt is survived by his loving sons: Michael (Darla) Coleman and Tom (Barbara) Coleman, his beloved grandchildren: Marissa, Emily, Rebecca, Patrick, Christina and Ryan Coleman, and his loving sister: Jeannine McShane.

A visitation will be held for Walt on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10am until 12pm at Mary Queen of Heaven church, 1150 Donaldson Road, Erlanger, KY 41018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 PM at the Church. Walt will be laid to rest in private at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Walt to Mary Queen of Heaven church at the address listed above.
