Velinda (nee: Warren) Bryant, 72 of Cincinnati, OH passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at The Glen in Cincinnati surrounded by her loving family. Velinda was born in Lexington, KY on January 26, 1949 to the parents of Carl and Mattie Warren (deceased).  She had two siblings, J.B.  Warren (dec.) and Brenda Warren (dec.).   The family moved to Erlanger, KY when Velinda was in grade school and stayed in the area for the rest of her childhood.  She graduated from Holmes High School in Covington, KY in 1967.  She married Bobby Stephens (dec.) soon after graduation and had her only son, Robert Brian (Dawn) Stephens on March 26, 1968.

Velinda was always a hard worker and worked at Proctor and Gamble for @10 years where she met her lifelong best friend of 50 years, Marcia Moye.  Velinda’s second marriage was to Josiah Bryant (dec.) in 1981 and with that union she gained 5 step-children.  They had a long and happy marriage until his death in 1999.  Her and Josiah ran a trucking company, TSR Trailer Repair, for many years.    Once Joe retired, Velinda opened Victorian Quilt Shop where she got to make her passion her job.

Velinda loved her son Brian, ‘the baby girl’ her granddaughter Brooklyn, God and quilting.  She loved to sew and has made many lifelong friends from her hobby of making quilts.  She loved to teach people to quilt and sew and was in her element around fabric and sewing machines.  Velinda’s other passion was collecting Victorian age antiques.  She loved to hunt and find hidden treasures that she could display with pride.

Velinda was a very classy lady that loved God and her family.  She never wanted to be a burden and always wanted to take care of others instead of people taking care of her.  Her life moto was “Always do what is right.” and she tried to live by this her whole life.  She will be missed dearly by all of those who loved and knew her.  Her memory will live on in all the beautiful quilts she made and also in her son Brian and her granddaughter Brooklyn. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger, KY with services to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Erlanger, KY. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
