Deepest Sympathy

Carol Dusing-Cooper

CCH Schoolmate

I spent 4 yrs at CCH around Tom and many yrs after that purchasing ice, beer etc from him on the dock. In the last many yrs seeing him and talking with him at the reunions and alumni lunches. I never saw him without a smile, even when he was very sick he could work one up. Everyone always respected Tom, a very good man and friend. I saw Tom wrestle those big blocks of ice (hundreds of pounds) on the loading dock like they were light. He worked very hard all his life. My prayers go out to Tom and his entire family. Due to the pandemic I’m sorry to say I won’t be able to attend his visitation or services. I hope everyone understands. Jack Bresser

RIP Tom

May Tom rest in peace as his soul flies to heaven to be with his beloved Patti. Prayers and best wished to Tom’s family as hey grieve the loss of of father, grandfather and brother. My world is a little smaller at the loss of a good friend and one of the true good guys.

My Sincerest Condolences

My sincere condolences.

Over 32 years ago, I walked into a small office for a job interview that I had no interest in attending. I met Tom and spoke with him briefly. I was hired and started the next a Saturday. My first day lasted 11 hours. We made minimum wage ($3.35 an hour) for hard work. At the time, I took my experiences for granted. As I got older, I appreciated those times and speak of them fondly. Tom, Bernie and Ron taught me more than just the ice business, they taught me life skills that I use everyday. My 13 years working for them was a blessing. When people say Dusing Brothers Ice was a family business, it is not just because it was owned by family, rather they treated employees like family. Thank you for your gift of friendship. I grieve this loss with you. Rest In Peace Tom. GOD Bless.
