Sr. Mary Paul Luongo of God’s Merciful Love, C.P., 96, quietly slipped into eternity on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Sr. Mary Paul was very prayerful and devoted to her calling to pray for the Church and the whole world. She was dedicated and hardworking, serving her community in the Altar Bread Business and as Sacristan for many years. She actively participated in other community endeavors with great enthusiasm. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Anaida Luongo, her sisters Pauline and Mary, and brother, Vincent(Jimmy). Sr. Mary Paul will be missed by her sisters in community at the Passionist Nuns Monastery, her brothers: John Luongo of Hamptons Bay, NY, Vito Luongo (Marie) of Stanton Island, NY; nieces Carolyn and Joanna Bedell, Anita Luongo, and nephew Dr. Michael Luongo. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Passionist Nuns Monastery in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Monastery followed by burial in the Monastery Cemetery.
