Thoughts and prayers

Just saw the news of Sheryl’s passing listed in the latest “Long Blue Line”. So, so sorry to hear that news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
I don’t know if you remember me, but you and your Sheryl, and me and my Cheryl were stationed together at CG Air Station Los Angeles in the mid-seventies. Couldn’t help but think of the great weekend I spent with you and the family camping and water skiing in south Alabama just before a week in the box (simulator) at USCG Aviation Training Center in Mobile. I also remember duty nights trying to get some remodeling done in the CGAS LOSA Wardroom between SAR cases, and the treats Sheryl always managed to send so we wouldn’t go hungry. I also gratfully remember the time Sheryl spent helping Cheryl navigate being the wife of a new CG helicopter pilot.
No matter what the occasion you and Sheryl were always gracious and simply great fun to be around. You couldn’t spend more than a few seconds without being infected with Sheryl’s happy outlook on most everything.
I’m sure Sheryl will be deeply missed by all that were fortunate enough to know her.
Roger Evans, CAPT, USCG (ret)

Love you Aunt Sheryl

I will always cherish the summers with you, Uncle Hap, and all us rowdy cousins camping and water skiing. You have been missed you since you left California, but I know you were very happy near Michele and her beautiful family. You are with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Rodney now; what a reunion that must have been! Our hearts will be filled with beautiful memories of you until we are reunited again. I love you, Leslie.

Miss you, Mom!

From the first time I came home with Michelle you & Dad treated me like your very own daughter. I was lost & you took me under your wing. You were always there for me! I will be forever grateful & blessed to have you as my mom!

I loved that you always had a smile on your face. You loved life! You will be missed beyond words.

I love & miss you mom!
