Sharon Anne McKiernan Schlueter, 78, of Union, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, April 5, 2024 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.  She was born on December 1, 1945 in Dayton, KY and was a graduate of McNicholas High School.  Sharon enjoyed her work over the years in Boone County Schools, Lazarus Department Store and Woodspoint Care Center.  Sharon will be remembered by everyone that knew her for the constant positivity she displayed no matter the difficult circumstances she faced.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Lingenfelser McKiernan and Thomas James McKiernan.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Jim Schlueter; she was an amazing mother to Brian (Michelle) Schlueter, Mark (Amy) Schlueter, and Shannon (David) Kopser; she is also survived by 12 adoring grandchildren that she cherished with her entire heart: McKenzie, Mattison, Macianne and Mallorie Schlueter; Michael, Max, and Amanda Schlueter; Jaden, Renae, Allison, Annie and Josie Kopser.  Sharon is also survived by her siblings, Nancy (Tim) O’Connell and Tim McKiernan and their families.

A visitation will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 7301 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, 1523 Alexandria Pike, Ft. Thomas, KY.

I am so very sad to hear this! I loved Sharon so dearly. She was my best friend for years. Myself and my grandma Mary absolutely loved her company, advice, and jokes. She is a very special person! rest in peace my beautiful friend! My condolences to her beautiful family!
