Scott Ray Williams, age 59 of Burlington, died Tuesday October 16, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Florence. He was born May 14, 1959, in Ashland, KY the only son of the late Charles and Nancy Williams. He was also preceded in death by beloved family friend Gladys Koury.

He was a delivery driver for many years, most recently with Aunt Millie’s. His clients and coworkers knew him for his remarkable work ethic and great sense of humor. He cared about helping others and was a volunteer firefighter with the Florence Fire Department in the early 90’s, even winning the “Rookie of the Year” award in 1991.

He was also a truly loving husband and father. He only had one daughter of his own, but he was always a favorite of the neighborhood kids. He was a fun-loving man who genuinely enjoyed making others laugh and was always there when you needed an ear.

Survivors include his wife Pam (nee Minnehan) Williams of Burlington; his daughter Jennifer Williams of Pomona, California; sisters Joyce (Jim) Leslie of Ashland, KY and Nancy Williams of Gulf Port, Florida; nieces Jamie Leslie of Ashland and Lisa (Chris) Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; and great nephews Jackson and Declan Collins of Atlanta. His cat Molly, dogs Abby and Cassie, and grand-kitten Bella also survive him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2-5pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. A funeral service will follow at 5pm. Cremation will be by Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Scott was an animal lover as well, and so the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to P.A.W.S. of Dearborn County.
