Ruth L. Nienaber

Ruth L. Nienaber, 99, formerly of Erlanger and Lebanon, KY, passed away peacefully Monday August 29, 2022 at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, KY.  Ruth grew up in Horse Cave, KY until she married and moved to Lebanon, KY where she was active in the Methodist church and served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.  She worked as a telephone operator in the days when many households shared one phone line, plugging the phone connection into the switchboard manually.  Later moving to Erlanger, Ruth was a member of the Erlanger United Methodist Church.  She and her husband Bob enjoyed taking trips to the western Ky cave region and visiting Lebanon during Ham Days.  She enjoyed family get togethers and sharing the accomplishments of her daughters, their husbands, and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Nienaber and grandson Scotty Lawson, and great grandson Blake Lawson. Survivors include her daughter Connie (Randall) Lawson, daughter Patty (Jim) Weaver, stepchildren, Cheri (Chuck) Knapmeyer, Tony (Lynn) Nienaber, David (Peggy) Nienaber, Patti (John) Kreimer, grandchildren Terry, Sammy, Danny, Jamie, Brad, Troy, Trisha, Amanda, Sarah, Brittney, Jorden, Mason, Michael, Audrey, Sydney, Landon, Jordan, and Rhett, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 6, 2022 from 3pm to 5pm with funeral service to follow at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. Burial will be held Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 1pm at Horse Cave Cemetery in Horse Cave, KY.
