Richard E. McGlasson, 84, of Burlington, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was born September 17, 1936 in Hebron, KY. Richard was a fun, loving man; he enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends in Florida, and watching sports, especially his UK Wildcats. Richard grew up on the McGlasson’s fruit and vegetable farm and was the owner/operator up until his retirement. He was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, and faith and family were always important to him. Richard loved spending time with his family; he was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed watching the grandchildren’s sporting events and playing cards with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Virga Lee McGlasson, and his sister: Virginia Stutzman. Richard’s memory will live on by those he leaves behind; his loving wife of 62 years: Gail McGlasson, his daughters: Kim (Seymour) Fisk, Becky (Jamie) Todd, and Shelly (Chris) Duncan, grandchildren: Sarah, Dane, Maggie, Taylor, Courtney, Chandler, Brittany, and Caylee, great-grandchildren: Trenton, Jocelyn, Keegan, Weston, Avery, Noah, and Griffin, and his siblings: Rodney (Jean) McGlasson, and Selma Conrad. Due to current Covid-19 mandates set forth by the Governor, services for Richard will be handled in private at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati at 3229 Burnet Ave #3018, Cincinnati, OH 45229 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
