Patricia Ann Witmer

Patricia Ann (“Pat”) Witmer (nee Moskus), 80, of Florence, KY passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born April 9, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Anthony and Sara Moskus.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John, her beloved children: Michele Fitz-Witmer, Jacqueline Witmer-Mouton, and Thomas (Stacia) Witmer, her cherished grandchildren: Hannah and Charlotte Fitz, Alwyn and Wilder Mouton, and Jack and Madeline Witmer, and her brothers: James (Teresa) Moskus and John (Joan) Moskus.

Patricia graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus, OH.  While there she met and married her husband John attending university nearby.

Patricia worked many years for the Northern Kentucky Health District in Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in programs to directly support healthy mothers and babies.  Eventually she volunteered for Boone County CASA.  In that role she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate on behalf of victimized children. Nursing and nurturing were part of her nature.

Most of all Patricia was a person of great kindness and humor, who touched many lives.

A celebration of life memorial visitation will be held for Patricia on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A reception with food and drinks will be held immediately following the service at the Linnemann Event Center.
