Kathy Cahill, 76, of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Christ Hospital surrounded by her adoring family. Kathy was a loving wife, dedicated mother, aunt, grandmother, and sister, who devoted her life to her family, friends, and community. Kathy was born on March 6, 1945 in Covington, KY to Jean and William (Red) Dunn. After graduating from Notre Dame Academy, she ultimately attended NKU where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1993. She was married to her beloved husband, Tom in 1967 at Blessed Sacrament Church; they were married for 53 blessed years. Kathy’s passion for volunteerism was evident as a member of the Erlanger Rescue Squad and a four-term Erlanger City Council member that culminated in earning the Vice Mayor seat. Kathy’s career was focused on children and education as a substitute teacher for Kenton County Schools and a teacher in the Cincinnati Public School System. She was named Community Development Coordinator in her cherished City of Erlanger until her retirement in 2010. There were no strangers in Kathy’s life. She loved life and those around her and was a true gift to all who knew her. She was a genuinely family-oriented individual with many likes and a passion for learning and doing new things. She loved holidays, traveling and vacationing – beaches, Disney, Hilton Head, and all things related to warm weather including family cruises. To know Kathy was to love her. Everyone was a friend to “Chatty Kathy” as she was known to her friends and family. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and supportive husband, Tom Cahill, Sr. and their children; Tom (Shannon) Cahill, Jr., Kim (Don) Maddox, Chrissy (Dan) Graves, grandchildren; Alana, Lauren, Aidan, Kyla, Hannah, and Katie and her beloved dog, Mikey. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, Kentucky. A Mass will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament in Fort Mitchell with Entombment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Dear Kathy

Bless your heart and bless your soul and all the hearts and souls you’ve touched.

A great teacher, mentor and friend…..we will all miss you!

The world truly lost and an amazing and funny person. I can remember her from EMT school and the days in EMS. She never had a negative thing to say about anyone or anything. Well, not that I heard:-) She was a fantastic person and I’m sorry that’s she left this world, but happy that she’s in Heaven.

My prayers to her all of the Cahill family.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers

So sorry for your loss. Such an amazing woman. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
