Mary Edythe Eckler

Mary Edythe Eckler, 81, of Hebron, Kentucky passed away on June 19, 2022 at Boone Springs Nursing Home in Union. She was born in Happy, Kentucky on December 18, 1940 and grew up in South Bend, Indiana. Mary was a wife, mother, and dedicated homemaker. She was involved in the PTA, coached girls’ softball, and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Eckler, of 48 years. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Mary is survived in death by her two siblings: Douglas Combs of Garden Grove, California and Brenda Barton of Mishawaka, Indiana. Mary has two children: Shelly Nelson (Chuck), of Burlington and Jason Eckler (Debra), of Union. Mary is also survived by her five grandchildren: Renae, Chad, Zachary, Jacob, and Aaron. A visitation will be held on Friday June 24, 2022 from 10 until noon at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington. Internment will immediately follow at Burlington Cemetery.
