Marvin Glenn Zimmerman”Zimmy”, 91, peacefully passed away on July 11, 2021, at his longtime family home in Erlanger, KY.

He grew up with a strong work ethic by getting up before school to milk his family dairy cows.   He started his career first as a switchman and then foreman with the L&N Railroad, which later became Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, then CSX Transportation.  He later served as a security officer at Turfway Park. He also enjoyed each holiday and made sure he sent Christmas gifts to each of his grandchildren.  His hobbies included watching and going to UK football/ basketball games, Cincinnati Reds/Bengals games, drinking beer and playing euchre.  He was a member of the Lions Club and The Dixie Club!

He is survived by his brother: Harold Zimmerman, two sons; Dennis Zimmerman, and Curtis Zimmerman, and his five daughters; Pam (Tim) Marshall, Kim Zimmerman, Beverly (Ben) Bleadon, Cynthia (Mike) Luetkemeier, and Jennifer (Heath) Zimmerman. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Marvin is preceded in death by his wife Sue Zimmerman and his son Glenn Zimmerman. Marvin will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 12:00PM-1:30PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger Kentucky. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:30PM at the Funeral Home. Burial at Hill Crest Cemetery to follow, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
