Mark Allen Pieper, 63, of Union, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 17, 2022.  Mark worked as a Backhoe Operator for a number of years and owned MAP Backhoe Services. He also was a 1977 graduate of Covington Catholic High School where he lettered in varsity football as their middle linebacker.

As a young man, Mark lived in Colorado for a time as a construction worker and developed a liking for hunting, fishing and hiking. He played guitar, and enjoyed country music.  He became an accomplished mechanic and serviced all of his own equipment, including his backhoe, and “Maybelline” (his 1959 Chevy vintage truck).

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Pieper, and his brothers, Terry, Kent, and Danny Pieper.

He leaves his brother, Tim (Shirley) Pieper; his sisters-in-law, Peggy and Gloria Pieper; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5:00PM-6:00PM at St. Barbara Church in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 6:00PM at the church. There will be a reception after the mass at the Sterling Event Center. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY on Thursday, May 5 at 10:00AM for close friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: St. Vincent De Paul, c/o St. Barbara Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY 41018.
