Marilyn E. Schank, 79, of Fairfield, OH passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, OH. She was born January 2, 1943 in Louisville, KY to the late John and Eleanor Westmeier. Marilyn was a strong woman with a big heart; she was loving, caring, witty and passionate. She worked for over 29 years in the automotive armory industry working on government contracts from not only within the US but many other countries around the world. She was very proud of her work.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, games and playing cards. After retirement, Marilyn joined the Fairfield Community Arts Center where she played cards in the senior center with her “card groupies”. She participated in Sock Hops, Monster Mash, pot lucks and summer concerts.

Marilyn was a loving mother and grandmother, and she always made her family her top priority. She was front and center at holidays, school events, sports for her grandchildren. She would answer by phone, text and facetime any day or time. She was known for sending a card in the mail for all events. Marilyn was also an animal lover, and she currently was fostering a cat named Simon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tommy Westmeier, and her sister-in-law, Judie Westmeier. Marilyn is survived by her loving children: Eric Schank (Denise), and Denise Schank, her beloved grandchildren: Alex Schank (Kristin), Matthew Schank, Ashlyn Schank, Harper Burns, and Cooper Burns, her dear brother: Dennis Westmeier, her adoring nieces: Tracy Westmeier, Wendy Roberts, and Corey Vallandingham, and her sweet great-grandson: Mark Schank. Services for Marilyn will be handled at a later date.
