Louis Edward Poole
Louis “Lou” Edward Poole, 86, of Erlanger, KY, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2018 at his residence. Lou had retired from IBM after 30 years of service as a Field Engineer. He was a longtime member of St. Henry Catholic Church, an avid golfer and bowler, and he enjoyed square dancing with his late wife, Dottie. Lou was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mike, Steve and Tom Poole. He is survived by his children, Carol (Dave) Derry, Diane (Kevin) Bowdler, Janet Plunkett, Ken (Lynda) Poole, and Kevin Poole; his sisters, Mary Jo Hall, Patty Patterson, and Rita Nienaber; and his brothers, Dave, Fred, and Bill Poole. He also leaves behind his 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00AM at St. Henry Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to: St. Henry Catholic Church 3813 Dixie Hwy. A joy to work with
It was my privilege to work with Lou at HONK (Housing Opportunties of Northern Kentucky) for many years. His easy going personality and wonderful stories made our Tuesday lunches something I always looked forward to attending.
He will be missed dearly by all of us.
