Katherine Joyce “Kay” Shrout

Katherine Joyce Shrout “Kay”, nee Mersfelder, 80, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence KY. She was a homemaker who loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Roger Shrout, daughter Kim Reisenbeck, granddaughter Aubree Joyce Reisenbeck and brothers Jim and Elmer Mersfelder. Survivors include her son Tim (Lou) Shrout, brother Larry (Judy) Mersfelder, son-in-law Jim Reisenbeck, sister-in-law Donna (Don) Berger, sister-in-law Christine Shrout, grandchildren Ben (Khala) Reisenbeck, Stephanie (Brian) Neiser, Alex (Sarah) Reisenbeck, Kayla (Rob) McNew, Stacie Shrout (Drew Kissel), great-grandchildren Keigan, Kenzie, Wyatt, Linzie, Madi, Aiden, Isla and Brody. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 10am to 12pm with services to follow at Linnemann Funeral Homes 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington KY 41005.
