Karen L. Prescott (nee: Ballerini), 72, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in the comfort of her home. She was born December 5, 1947 in New York, NY to the late Alfred and Catherine Ballerini. Along with her parents, Karen was also preceded in death by her brother: Gerard Ballerini, and her daughter: Rachel Klink. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be dearly missed. Her survivors include her loving husband: Wayne Prescott, her beloved daughter: Michelle (Michael) Frisch, her cherished grandchildren: Ryan Ottino (“Precious love”), Helena, Matthew, and Jackson Frisch, and her dear siblings: Alfred (Pat) Ballerini, Linda (Dr. Anthony) Petruzello, Frank (Sondra) Ballerini, Catherine Kurz, Darlene Ballerini, Pat (David Frasier) Ballerini, and Joseph Ballerini. A visitation will be held for Karen on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 10am until 12pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Her family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Karen’s honor.
