Josephine Lucinda Speakes

Josephine Lucinda Speakes, (nee Dunn), 92, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021, surrounded by her family at her residence in Edgewood. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a homemaker and a member of St Barbara Church in Erlanger. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Speakes and her children Michael, Donna Louise, and John Charles, son-in-law Frank McPherson. Survivors include her daughter Aliene (Pat) Iasillo, daughter Kathy McPherson, daughter Debbi (Dan) Vogt, son Donald Speakes II, daughter-in-law Linda Kirk, grandchildren Kelly Kirk, Matt Kirk, Ed Talley, Shonda (Tim)Botkin, Scott (Fran) Iasillo, Will Speakes, Amanda (Adam) Severns, Jessica McPherson, Nina Vogt, Sarah (Daniel) Blackwell, Traci (David)Bohn, Briana (Matt)Deacon, Jake Vogt, Amber (Caleb) Miller, Nick (Candra)Moser and Matthew Moser, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren along with her BFF Barbara Speakes. She is also survived by several other relatives who were dear to her including nieces Darlene (Shelley) Moser and Helen Saylor, nephew John Speakes. The family would especially like to thank her caregivers Jean Vogt, Vicky Jackson, Amy Browning, Brittany, Mary, Gracie, Geri, Amber, Karen, Paula, Gayle, Katie, Hospice Nurse Monica, and her nurse’s aid Nicole. Their patience, love, care, and dedication to JoJo, was greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9am to 10am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St Barbara Church 4042 Turkeyfoot Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018.
