John “Jack” E. Potter, Sr., Florence, KY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the age of 89. Mr. Potter proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Brinker and Bramkamp printing upon retiring. John’s greatest joy and priority in life was his family. He was caring and nurturing to his friends and family, especially in their times of need. His faith was important to him as he was a past member of San Pedro Church in North Port, FL where he was an usher and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Lyons Club and donated to the local Parish Kitchens. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 yrs., Eileen (nee: Bender) Potter and their children, Kenneth (Pam), Tim (Tammy), John, Richard, Mary (Bob) and Margie (John). He also leaves behind his brother, Jerry (Linda), sister, Julie (Roger) along with 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 3PM to 5PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger, KY with a Catholic Blessing to follow at 5PM. Military Honors will conclude the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We are heartbroken

Eileen and family, we are broken-hearted to see that Jack has left us. We were searching for a phone number to wish him a happy birthday today when I came across this post. Please know that we loved Jack. He was actually the one who convinced Bruce and I to become ushers at San Pedro. Much love to you and the entire family. Kathy & Bruce Isbell

Eileen and Family

Eileen
I’m thinking of you & your family. Jack was such a sweet, caring man. Bob and I always had such a nice time going out to dinner and playing cards with you both. He will truly be missed.
Love, Shirley
