Jerome A. Budde Jr.

Jerome (Jerry) A. Budde Jr., 79, of North Fort Myers, FL passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Seasons Hospice Facility in Largo, FL. Jerome was born March 27, 1942 in Covington, KY to the late Jerome Sr. and Mary Jane Budde.

He was preceded in death by his father: Jerome A. Budde Sr., his mother: Mary Jane Budde, his stepmother: Virginia “Ginny” Budde, his sister: Patty Budde, and his first wife: Mary Lee Budde.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife: Ilêna Budde, his beloved children: Bernadette (Jack) Grotrian, Diana (Chris Hornung), and Jerome B. (Dawn) Budde, his stepchildren: Russell (Kelly) Henry, and Alexis Henry, his grandchildren: Drake, Wesley, Rosalee, Penny, Clark, Eden, and Amara, his siblings: Ron Budde, Ken (Kay) Budde, and Sandra (Ken) Krumpelman and several other loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jerry retired from Raytheon (formerly Magnavox) in 2000 after more than 30 years of service where he worked on military radios, mobile satellite terminals and cell phone interceptors; first as an electrical engineer and then as a program manager.   He also enjoyed architecture, woodworking and genealogy research.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00am until 11:00am at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright, KY 41011. Following the visitation, a memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am at the Church. Jerome will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or to the Hospice Facility of the donor’s choice.
