Jared Raymond Lorenzen

Gentle Giant

I met Jared only once, for a potential business transaction. Even though we did not close the transaction, he was gracious with his time. And, for some reason, he spoke to me as if I were a lifelong friend. I have a feeling that he treated everyone in the same way.

Godspeed Double Deuce

You Will Be Missed

You were a Great Inspiration to others with the talent that was given to you by God. Watching SEC Football with the Kentucky Wildcats with you at quarterback was a THRILL for me. You will be surely missed,.

Prayers for comfort for the coming days, for the space left behind by your beloved son, brother, husband, father.
Cindy and Chuck

God Bless Jared Lorenzen

I’m a Florida Gator fan and I looked forward to every year he played against the gators. I loved watching that man throw those bullets left-handed. And just run over players.Jared was awesome! To the family , I am so sorry. Such a great man!

Thinking of you family during this difficult time

I never met Jared but was closely following his challenge and as a person who battled weight my entire life I could relate with the struggle and successes. Jared inspired me! Thanks Jared for sharing your journey. May you Rest In Peace and I know you will be with your children every time they take a field and every step of their life.

You blessed so many of us with your amazing life.

Jared, you may now know how very many people you touched, thrilled, made proud, and bless with your brief yet brave life. Your Ft. Thomas community followed you to fame, welcomes you home again, and entrusts you into the arms of God.

Kevin R.

You supported my non profit outings and got my son tickets to your indoor league football games. You provided me and my wife memories forever watching you play football for UK at Commonwealth. Beyond that, you were a great guy with a heart as big as your confidence. I’ll miss you pal.

A Fan From Afar

I have been a fan of Kentucky sports for only the last 5 years. In that short time, I have come to think of BBN as family & the family lost a good one in Jared – way too soon.

Wildcats in Heaven

My thought and prayers are with family and friends. My sweet husband passed, he was a graduate of UK and an avid Wildcat football fan. Jared was his favorite quarterback. He loved his sweet and funny personality. Maybe these two Wildcats can talk some football, I’m sure their is a long line of BBN waiting to greet one of the greatest to ever wear a University of Kentucky jersey! Rest In Peace #22. Rip # 22

Deepest sympathies on your loss. Great player great human being. Bbn will never be the same without him.

Thank You, #22

I struggle to convey my feelings in a concise, befitting statement for an extraordinary man. Jared was one of those rare people who made history rather than watch it happen. It is only appropriate that an unprecedented person achieve such greatness that he is loved by more people than he ever met.

One of those he never met

Dear Jared

I’m so sorry for your loss. Jared was a great man. Kind and compassionate. He will be greatly missed. RIP

May you rest in peace. God had bigger plans for you. My deepest sympathy.

Penny Smith

He leaves behind a legacy and will always be an inspiration to aspiring athletes of all types. May God comfort his wife, children, other family, and his friends at this time. Losing a loved one is one of the most unfortunate parts of life. We truly never stop grieving, it just becomes more tolerable as the years pass. I never knew him personally but had met him once, and got the opportunity to speak with him. He seemed like a loving and caring man for those he knew. He was funny, witty, and I got the vibe that everything about him was as genuine as they come and was a lover of all sports. May God wrap his loving arms around you Jared as you’ve entered the pearly gates. Rest easy big guy. God Bless. – Rick from Ft. Mitchell KY

We lost a Ky Hero

Prayers for the Lorenzen Family during this time of mourning, Although I didn’t know Jared he was a huge part of my life, I was a overweight left handed athlete in high school and I never gave up because Jared proved every week that you didnt have to be cut to be successful, he absolutely was my hero and I mourn his passing. Thank you Jared for being an inspiration to so many rest easy.God Bless you all.

To the Lorenzen family

So Jared came into our lives after all the hoopla of being Jared was a thing. If you don’t know anything know this … he was a really good human! We loved having him be a part of our family and our lives and can’t even imagine what the loss feels like to his family. My family will miss the ribbing we took because we were from New England where there is a deep love for-the Patriots and the Red Sox . Jared got a big kick out of turning that into a bad thing! My gosh we will miss him! xo

One of a kind

To the Lorenzen family, my heart felt sympathies to you. Jared was one kind. Everything I have seen and read , he was the most kind hearted person anyone could meet. Through his struggles he never gave up . He gave incouragement to countless people. He was love by so many in the big blue nation and will leave a lasting impact. May god be with you and keep you strong. Much love from Somerset Kentucky.

Stood Out of The Crowd

In middle school, I met him briefly as a young man. He was quiet at first, then his charisma shined speaking about football. Based on the brief time interacting with him, I knew he would excel. His college games were amazing. It was great to see him achieve personal and professional goals. My prayers are with his family and children. God Bless.
