James “Jim” Edward Rowland

James “Jim” Edward Rowland passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 82.  He was the sixth of seven children born to Coy & Nellie Gray (Bailey) Rowland on November 8, 1939. Jim is preceded in death by his adoring wife of 55 years, Dora Jean (Dringenburg) Rowland, and his five siblings.  He is survived by his younger sister Patricia Ann (Rowland) Winterman (Bob), and two sons, Kevin Rowland (Patch Foster) and Ken Rowland (Vickie) along with two loving granddaughters, Ruth & Marymargaret Rowland.  He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who loved his unique but enduring sense of humor. A graveside service will be held at Hopeful Lutheran Church Cemetery on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery:  6430 Hopeful Church Rd, Florence, KY 41042.
